What is an ATS?
An applicant tracking system is the software an employer uses to receive applications. It reads the file you send, tries to pull out name, contact details, jobs, dates and skills, and stores the result as fields in a database. A recruiter then searches those fields. If the software cannot find a section, it is as if you had not written it.
Does an ATS really reject CVs automatically?
Rarely by itself, and that is the more useful way to think about it. Most systems do not delete anybody; they rank and filter. A CV that parses badly is not thrown away, it simply never comes up in the searches a recruiter runs, which has the same effect and leaves no trace.
Which CV format is safest for an ATS?
A PDF whose text is real text, in one or two columns, with ordinary section headings and dates written the same way throughout. What breaks parsing is not the format but the furniture: contact details inside the header of the page, sections drawn as images, tables used for layout, and icons standing in for the words phone or email.
How is the ATS score calculated?
From the CV as it appears on screen, not from what is stored in the database: the rules read the document itself, the same way a parser would. They check that the expected sections exist, that dates are consistent, that experience is described with measurable results and, when you have pasted a job ad, how much of its vocabulary appears in your text. The score is deterministic: the same CV always gets the same number.

The AI

Does the AI invent things about me?
It is not allowed to, and the prompt is not what stops it. Every proposal is checked before you see it: numbers, proper names and technologies that appear in the rewrite must already be somewhere in your CV, and the structure must match the original. An answer that fails is sent back once with its errors; if it fails again nothing is proposed at all.
Does the AI change my CV on its own?
No. A rewrite arrives as a set of cards, one per section, each showing what it would replace. Nothing is written into the document until you accept a card, and you can accept some and refuse the rest. The server never edits your CV.
Will a recruiter be able to tell the CV was written with AI?
What gives a generated CV away is the vocabulary of one: superlatives, dynamic team player, results-driven professional. Those phrases are refused outright, in every language the tool writes in. What is left is your own experience in shorter sentences, which reads like a person who edited their CV carefully.

Your data and your money

Do I need an account to try it?
No. You can pick a template, write a whole CV and watch the ATS score move without signing up. An account is asked for at the point where the work has to be kept: downloading the PDF, or coming back to the CV later.
Where is my CV stored?
In the European Union, in the Frankfurt region, on Amazon Web Services. The photograph is kept apart from the document in a private bucket and is only ever served through links that expire. Text sent for rewriting reaches the Anthropic API, which is outside the EU: section 6 of the privacy policy says so plainly, because it is the one part of the flow that leaves.
Do you use cookies?
Two of our own, and Google’s and OpenAI’s only if you agree. Ours are the language you pick in the footer and your answer to the cookie banner, so we do not ask twice; each holds a code, neither identifies anybody, and both are strictly necessary, which is why they need no consent. Google Ads’ cookies measure sign-ups and purchases from its adverts, OpenAI Ads’ measure purchases from its adverts, and Google Analytics’ tell us which pages are visited and where visits come from. They are set only after you accept them in the banner, and Cookie preferences in the footer lets you change your answer at any time.
Can I delete everything?
Yes. Deleting a CV deletes its photograph with it, and deleting the account removes the profile, the CVs, the cover letters and the applications. Write to support@vitaesupply.com and the deletion is done within thirty days, as the privacy policy sets out.
